West Ham have revealed for the first time that Tomas Soucek may be on his way from the club this summer.

Claretandhugh first broke the story there were difficulties between the Czech midfielder and David Moyes over a new deal and that was followed by denials of a possible departure by other media.

But the reality remains that should the club receive the sort of bid which meets or comes close to their valuation the 27 year old is set for a move.

Whether the club can get the £40 million which his first season form would have certainly demanded is improbable but should they be offered around the £25 million to £30 million is looks likely they will cash in.

We were told by an insider this morning that other midfielders are on the manager’s list of target players and as a result there is no certainty over Soucek’s position at the club.

However, Moyes needs to bring players in and ensure the right money appears for the Czech. The refusal to offer him an improved deal is at the bottom of the problems
