Former Hammer Ricardo Vaz Te has signed a 12-month deal with Chinese club Henan Jianye after he was released from Turkish club Akhisar Belediyespor.

The 31-year-old has just completed a 18-month contract with Akhisar Belediyespor where he was their top goal scorer.

The Portuguese striker started 23 of the 37 games last season playing 2221 minutes and scoring 23 goals in the Turkish Super Lig and cup competitions.

Vaz Te left West Ham by mutual consent in 2015. He joined the Hammers January 2012 for £500,000 on a two-and-a-half year deal with an option for a third year and made his debut for the club, coming on as an 89th-minute substitute against Millwall. Vaz Tê is best remembered for scoring the winning goal in the 87th minute in the Wembley Play off final. That was the 24th goal Vaz Tê had scored in the 2011–12 season.
