And tonight was one of the very best with the two signings we brought in during the winter window and Declan probably just the stars of the show in a fabulous performance.
In reality that’s unfair – every one of them out there gave it their all at the end of a terrible week when they could have been forgiven for feeling as dispirited as the fans.
When they come in the shape of a 4-0 win against a team we haven’t scored against in four meetings and been beaten by on each occasion, you know that you support a football club with a constant surprise or ten in the locker.
Arthur Masuaku embodies all of that. Who would have ever believed that he would become a key player and tonight I found myself wondering whether the much discussed Diang would have forced his way past the bloke in his current form.
The answer is NO! His cross for Haller’s goal was exquisite – his feet are a joy to watch when he’s in flight. Like a few out there, Wolves simply had no answer to him.
After all the dramas of the last few days, which has seen some very silly and unnecessary activity off the pitch, the team spoke and we now sit in 10th place with both Manchester City y and Manchester United amusingly beneath us in 13th and 14th spots.
