West Ham will reject all bids for Pedro Obiang in the winter market despite Fiorentina and Sampdoria continuing to track the player.

Reports in Europe are that he remains very much on the wanted list of both clubs but the Hammers – who have him under contract until 2022 – won’t entertain offers.

The club made the decision to allow Chiek Kouyate to leave in the last window with Obiang apparently ready to move back to Italy to be nearer his family.

But the manager has been impressed with the 26 year old’s training ground attitude and notable performance  against Everton which saw him force his way firmly back into the first team frame.

Various names have been put forward for winter moves but Obiang will be told that he is set to remain a Hammers player.

A source said: “He is tied down for another four years after signing an extension in 2017 and he is very firmly part of the first team set up.

“The interest from Italy is well known to us but he will be staying at West Ham.”
