Alex Kral

West Ham are now immensely confident that Alex Kral will become the second loan signing of the window before the 11 pm deadline.

The Spartak Moscow midfielder was in the final stages of agreeing on a deal this afternoon and club insiders confirm that confidence is now high he will be the fourth new arrival alongside Nikola Vlasic, Kurt Zouma and goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.

The Hammers had been linked with the defensive midfielder ahead of the Euros after a top season for his club when he made 42 appearances last term. He has made seven so far this year.

He is seen very much as a cover player for Declan and Tomas with the club admitting to us earlier this window they did become interested in him it would be on that basis.

He came cheaper than Ruben Loftus Cheek although we understand that David Moyes was responsible for having one of the late changes of mind! 🙂

It is thought there is an option to buy at the end of the season and as a pal of Tomas and Vladimir, he will immediately feel at home in the dressing room.

He is valued at around £15m and could well become another bargain buy at the end of the season.
