West Ham disappointed with Wembley allocation
A senior club source told ClaretandHugh of their huge disappointment at such a low allocation for the Hammers and that thousands of supporters missed out on a ticket.
The source told us: “We were really hoping that Spurs would have given us a larger allocation to anticipate the demand from West Ham fans.
“This is one game which should have the full 90,000 capacity at Wembley. Such was the demand for the tickets from West Ham supporters we could have sold three or four times the tickets that were allocated to us. It is a missed opportunity for Spurs and West Ham”
Spurs decided to restrict capacity to 50,835 with the upper tier of Wembley Stadium closed for the 25th October evening match. Last month it was revealed that West Ham will get little to nothing of the Wembley Stadium gate money after Spurs subtract the £300,000 stadium rental fee. The Hammers are entitled to forty-five of the Carabao Cup gate money after expenses but there may be little left to split.
