West Ham face stiff competition for Toulouse striker Ben Yedder with reports in France claiming Lyon have made the 25 year old striker their top target.

According to information from Mercato365, the club president Jean-Michel Aulas has revived his interest in Yedder, who is under contract until June 2017 and valued around €10m (£8.3m).

The Lyon president previously said about Yedder “He’s a great player. A lot of teams would like to have him next year. With a stronger team than Toulouse, he should be able to assert himself in the French league.”

Yedder was on the score sheet again for Toulose on Friday night against Osasuna in a 2-0 win. Martin Brathwaite who has also been linked to West Ham was the other goalscorer in the first minute but was also credited with an assist for Yedder’s goal on 31 minutes.

West Ham sounded out Ben Yedder’s representative Meïssa N’Diaye this summer after they made a previous approach in January, Premier League champions Leicester have also registered their interest in a player who scored 17 goals in Ligue 1 last season despite his club only just avoiding relegation.
