West Ham fail with digital season ticket pledge

West Ham have failed in their pledge to replace game by game digital tickets with one code for the remainder of the season.

After performing a late U-turn the club promised to find a new solution after the second or third home game at the London Stadium.

The third game against Manchester United came and went without a new solution and now it appears the new solution won’t be ready for the fourth home Brentford game either.

One supporter who contacted the ticket office this week was told the club will continue to email QR codes and barcodes game by game and a new single code won’t be ready for the foreseeable future.

West Ham says the club will communicate to supporters when there is something to communicate.

That latest update will be disappointing news for many supporters hoping they would only need to download one more QR code for the season.

West Ham’s home game against Manchester United saw problems with printed email at home tickets unreadable after being smudged by the rain and continuing queues and chaos at turnstiles closer to the kick-off time.
