A new documentary film about West Ham has been released today by East 15 films.

Called ‘Away From Home – Leaving Upton Park’ the documentary tracks the last season at the Boleyn ground and the first two at The London Stadium, Away From Home puts the West Ham fans side of the difficult move.

The film shows the rollercoaster of emotions they have experienced during the last few seasons, fans hopes and fears for the future and ultimately what West Ham means to supporters through memories, rituals and relationships as well as community, identity and class connotations and a sense of belonging. In the aftermath of the move, Away From Home returns to Upton Park to illustrate the devastating impact on local businesses that relied heavily on the match day revenue and also explores the proposed legacy of what once was West Ham’s home.

Co-producer and Co-Director Mitch Panayis speaking to Claret and Hugh this morning said “Not just a trip down memory lane, nor simply a homage to the Boleyn, but a serious look at the difficulties facing the modern football fan”

East 15 films have given C&H a free downloadable copy to give away in a competition. Just answer a simple question and email us at mrwesthamfootball@gmail.com  Q) Who was the last West Ham player to score at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier League.
