West Ham forward transfer targets not a priority

West Ham are not making strikers a priority in the Summer transfer window.

Pellegrini wants to prioritise the right back position (Ryan Fredericks) followed by two centre-backs (Possibly Marlon Santos and or Armando Izzo)

A goalkeeper will be another priority with rumours of a tentative enquiry for Jack Butland plus Reims goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and Manchester United keeper Sam Johnstone have also been linked.

After the defensive positions, the midfield will be the next priority with names like (Danny Drinkwater, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Felipe Anderson, Jack Grealish, Tom Cairney and Adan Traore) to name just a few so far.

West Brom’s Jay Rodríguez and Mario Balotelli have already been linked with the Hammers this summer.

However, with Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez and Andy Carroll all staying at West Ham, the forward position isn’t seen as a priority by Pellegrini for now. Should one of those three leave that could change in an instance but for now we have been told by West Ham insiders that defensive and midfield positions will be the immediate priority for the Chilean manager.
