Less than 2% of Claret and Hugh readers think they West Ham can finish in the top six of the Premier League this season. Just over 6.5% of supporters in yesterday’s Claret and Hugh poll think we can still finish in the top eight. Just over 32% say a Top Ten finish is achievable while the majority of 37% say a Top twelve spot is much more realistic.  Just under 18% say we will finish in Top fourteen places and just over 4% say top Seventeen. Less than one per cent believe we face relegation from the Premier League this season.

In July earlier this year while full of optimism, nearly 72% of 3,000 that voted in a Claret and Hugh poll said a top-eight finish was achievable! Another 23% said ninth or tenth meaning over 95% of supporters thought we would finish in the top ten. Only 22 fans out of 3,000 thought we would be relegated this season before we kicked our first ball.

In September, pointless after four games we ran the same poll again. This time less than 2% thought we could manage top six, 3.5% top eight, 18% top ten, 20% top ten, 23% top fourteen and 18% top seventeen. 17% thought we could be relegated.
