West Ham are leading the chase to sign Winston Reid’s International team mate Chris Wood, according to the Daily Mirror. The Hammers were linked with the Leeds striker back in January.

The 25-year-old has gone on to score 30 goals in the Championship this season, making him the league’s top scorer, and his form has once again interested the Hammers.

The striker has been linked with Stoke, Everton, Sunderland, Southampton, Crystal Palace, Burnley and West Ham who could all make bids, with the player valued by Leeds around £15million.

Wood, who has two years left on his contract, attracted interest from the Chinese Super League in the January window but Leeds were adamant he was not for sale.

In January West Ham decided against a bid for Brentford’s Scott Hogan who was eventually snapped up by Aston Villa for £12m.
