West Ham players  received a mixed reception from fans after bringing their kids onto the pitch ahead of the game against Leeds.

Declan led the team out with their kids in tow and the captain was seen lifting and kissing his little boy before the the last home game of the season.

The others too were joined by their children in a move that has been known to backfire elsewhere in the past. Many have always believed that this is not the greatest move as it suggests the players MAY not be fully focused on the job in hand.

Thankfully that turned out not to be the case although after going a goal down early some could have been forgiven for believing it may not have been the best idea.

Thankfully, goals from Declan Rice, Jarrod Bowen and sub Manu Lanzini ensured a fine 3-1 victory  although some remained unhappy at the decision by players and manager.

Reacting to the move, one fan shared: “The West Ham team with their kids,” alongside a teary eye emoji.

A second said: “West Ham players walking out of the tunnel with their children is the cutest take your kids to work day scene you’ll ever see.”

However, some fans online were not happy with the move, with one fan labelling it “embarrassing“.

Another fan claimed: “West Ham players bringing kids out before kick off is a bit odd for me. Not exactly fully focussed!!”

A second remarked: “When West Ham brought all their kids out before the game. The epitome of on the beach.”

A third added: “As soon as West Ham came out with there kids you knew the mindset was all wrong.”
