The Daily Mail claims West Ham have been put off of making any potential moves for Everton’s Romelu Lukaku due to an incredible £65m valuation by the club.

Lukaku, who scored 18 Premier League goals last season, is clearly seen as their key player at the Merseyside club. Like Payet Everton appear to have slapped a massive unbelievable valuation on the 23 year old to warn other clubs off.

The striker scored two goals and created eight chances in five matches for Belgium at the Euro 2016 finals in France. He had a pass accuracy of 74% and a shot accuracy of 55%, and won 13 headers and one dribble during the championships.

The £65m valuation is also considered too much by Chelsea, who sold Lukaku to Everton for £28m in 2014 and failed to insert a buy back clause.

In May, Lukaku said he wanted to ‘win titles’ and that it was time to write himself a CV. Lukaku is represented by super-agent Mino Raiola who has made no secret about wanting his client to leave Everton. The player is said to be on wages of £80,000 per week with Everton
