West Ham rises in world top 20 richest club table

West Ham has been rated as the 17th richest club in the world in the Deloitte Football Money League 2018 moving up one position from last year.

Manchester United topped the list for a second consecutive year ahead of Real Madrid, with Barcelona third and Bayern Munich fourth. Manchester City were fifth, with Arsenal overtaking Paris Saint-Germain to go sixth, Liverpool ninth and Spurs climbed to 11th. Leicester rose to 14th and West Ham jumped to 17th. Southampton and Everton completed 10 English teams in the top 20.

Outside of the top 20, there are four more English clubs ranked 21 – 30, with AFC Bournemouth in 28th place. The Cherries’ revenue of £136.8m in 2016-17 is £135.7m higher than their equivalent figure in the first ever Money League in 1996-97.
