West Ham published photos of a dummy at the former Olympic Stadium as part of a new partnership with Hawes & Curtis who are set to become the Club’s official tailor this season replacing Apsley.

The new partnership will be officially unveiled for the Hammers’ European match in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday 28th July.

Like West Ham, Hawes & Curtis boasts more than 100 years of heritage. From a single store in the Piccadilly Arcade in 1913, Hawes & Curtis has grown into a globally renowned brand.

The use of the tailor’s dummy at the Olympic Stadium instead of a player modelling the new West Ham suit bought some inevitable jokes on social media.

Comments included “Looks like someone has been sold a dummy” and “He sold him a dummy”

While another West Ham fan suggested it was a new Hammers signing called “Manne Quinn” or perhaps Manni Kinn would be a better name.

Less unkind comments suggested the manikin in the former Olympic Stadium looked like James Collins or Joey O’Brien.
