West Ham squad return to Rush Green

The West Ham squad returned to Rush Green this morning to be weighed and tested after their holidays.

After the weigh-in and measurements by medical staff, under the guidance of new head of Medical Richard Collinge and his team. They will undergo extensive fitness testing which forms the part of every pre-season.

The first team will then fly out to Switzerland late this afternoon from  Stansted Airport to Zurich.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini assembled his squad at Rush Green for breakfast.

Young Academy players Sead Haksabanovic, Martin Samuelsen, Reece Oxford, Josh Cullen, Nathan Holland and Marcus Browne will also join first team players on the trip.

Chicharito, Lukasz Fabianski and Cheikhou Kouyate, who have been in action at the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia, and Manuel Lanzini, who is recovering from knee surgery, will all return to Rush Green later in July. Hammer of the Year Marko Arnautovic, who was playing for Austria against Brazil as recently as mid-June, will join up with the squad in Switzerland next week after playing three internationals for Austria in late May and early June.
