Former West Ham transfer target Javier Pastore has landed in Rome to complete a €20 million (£18m) move to Roma. A video has emerged  of him arriving in Italy to take his medical.

The Argentine has been looking for a move away from Paris Saint-Germain all summer after being limited to just 14 starts in Ligue 1 last season and flirted with a switch to West Ham when  demanding £190,000 per week in wages.

He was at one stage declared the star signing required by new boss Manuel Pellegrini in orer to attract other big players.

Just seven Premier League players currently earn £170,000 per or more with six from Manchester clubs and one from Chelsea. West Ham turned down the offer of signing Pastore saying his wage demands were too high and it would unsettle the wage structure.

However, the 29-year-old is set to return to Italy after Roma reached an agreement with the French champions in a deal that includes an extra €4m (£3.5) in bonuses and wages worth £170,000 per week.
