Fabian Balbuena and Javier Hernandez remain injured and have not travelled to Burnley Claret and Hugh understands.

Although Marko Arnautovic was scheduled to return for the Burnley game, he has travelled with the team to Burnley but is likely to be restricted to the bench for now possibly getting some minutes on the pitch in the second half.

It is hoped that Pablo Zabaleta has recovered enough from his illness earlier this week to resume his right back role. Aaron Cresswell is likely to retain his left-back starting role after a good performance against Southampton keeping Arthur Masuaku out of contention.

Skipper Mark Noble may also return to replace Pedro Obiang in midfield after a less than convincing display by the Spanish player.

Felipe Anderson suffered a knock in the second half against the Saints but is hoped to pass a fitness test to play on Sunday.

There is a chance he could start Andy Carroll to replace Lucas Perez who scuffed his chance in front of goal earlier this week or possibly play Carroll up with Perez instead of Antonio.

Putting all of those permutations into the mix the likely team Manuel Pellegrini could put out could be:  Fabianski, Zabaleta, Ogbonna, Diop, Cresswell, Rice, Noble, Anderson, Snodgrass, Antonio, Perez.
