West Ham have already published their squad to the Premier League and that that will soon be officially published alongside every other club squad list.

Each Premier League club must submit a squad list containing no more than 17 players who do not fulfil the “Home Grown Player” (HGP) criteria. The rest of the squad, up to a maximum of 25 players, must be Home Grown.

An HGP means a player who, irrespective of nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to The Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons, or 36 months, before his 21st birthday. Changes to the squad list of 25 may be made during the period of a transfer window. Under-21 players are eligible over and above the limit of 25 players per squad.

West Ham’s submitted squad is likely to consist of 23 players, six of which are classified as homegrown players (HGP)

17 non-homegrown players: Fabianski, Anderson, Diop, Chicharito, Lanzini, Ogbonna, Reid, Roberto, Sanchez, Snodgrass, Yarmolenko, Zabaleta, Haller, Fornals, Balbuena, Ajeti and Masusaku.

6 Homegrown players: Noble, Antonio,  Cresswell, Fredericks, Martin and Wilshere

Under 21 players from any country in the squad do not count towards the squad of 25 so Rice and Johnson and Cardoso do not require a squad place.

Xande Silva will be the most likely absentee from the squad due to his recovery from an operation.

Robert Snodgrass does not count as a homegrown player as time in Scottish youth football does not count.
