West Ham has confirmed they plan to sell 2,000 half season tickets starting from January next year and will sell a further 1,000 seats on general sale. The confirmation came from Karren Brady at the new West Ham United Supporters Board following a question from Claret and Hugh Associate Editor.

Brady replied to the new supporters board that she hoped the first 60,000 capacity game would be played at the London Stadium against Brighton on 2nd January next year subject to the approval of the safety certificate by the Safety Advisory Group (SAG)

The Hammers settled out of court with E20 earlier last month hours before a court case after a two-year dispute but they need the license from Newham Council before they can use the extra 3,000 existing seats.

The London Stadium already has 66,000 seats in place of which at least 60,000 are uncovered so, in reality, these 3,000 extra seats are spread around the stadium and can be made available almost immediately without any modification.

When capacity is officialy increased West Ham will the largest stadium in London and the second largest in the Premier League second only to Manchester United.
