West Ham United Independent Supporters Association – Update
The meeting was attended by about 75 people. A new interim committee was elected. A website will be up and running in a few days for people to join. A joint committee of WHUISA and the HSC was also formed to begin work of sourcing premises in Stratford so that the HSC has a base in the area. If anyone has any ideas of places that are available for lease please forward them to me on pchristmas@btinternet,com. One poster on this site has already done so. The challenge i set is to have a place open in Stratford for the Arsenal match,

WHUISA needs to get at least 2,000 members to be able to have gravitas / weight to approach / be recognised by the club / media. Such a number is acknowledged to be ‘proportionally representative’ of the fans and so means the association will speak from a strong position of support and is not viewed as a few people putting forward their own agenda.

WHUISA is being set up for the fans to have a place where your voice / opinion / ideas both positive and negative will be heard and put forward to the club. Please join and spread the word about the association.

WHUISA will be officially launched once everything ‘in the background’ such as constitution, affiliations, website etc are firmly tied down and signed off.

My immense gratitude goes to the people who set up WHUISA in 2013. Thank you to all who came to the meeting yesterday. The next meeting will be on Saturday Decmeber 5th at the HSC at a time to be decided.
