West Ham have a challenging time ahead with three fixtures which could potentially see them slip further down the table in the relegation zone. The Hammers sit in 17th place one point above Hull City and three points above Sunderland with Swansea routed to the bottom of the table on six points.

West Ham face three top four sides in their next three league fixtures with Manchester United away, Arsenal at home followed by Liverpool away.

Sunderland face Liverpool Away, Leicester at Home followed by Swansea away.

Swansea face Palace at home, Spurs away and Sunderland at home.

Hull City face West Bromwich Albion home, Boro away and Palace at home.

Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace are also 11 points but have a superior goal difference.

While no-one is panicking  just yet that the Hammers are relegation contenders this season, if we drop and remain in the relegation zone at Christmas it can be a tough and long season to get out and stay out.

West Ham have a tradition of raising their game against the big teams under Slav so let’s hope we can pick up some points very soon. Another way to look at it is we are only 8 points away from sixth place which puts things in perspective.
