West Ham’s fixture chaos

West Ham are facing a serious fixture pilie up with an FA Cup replay set to be squeezed in an already bursting schedule.

We are still awaiting the official confirmation of the re-scheduling of the Watford and Manchester United Premier league matches due to our FA Cup run.

And UEFA’s rules are making re-scheduling difficult with their insistence that domestic games including FA Cup games do not clash on nights that Champions League is shown on TV.

With a congested fixture schedule for the remainder of the season, there are few dates that West Ham will be able to play Watford and Manchester United twice whilst still avoiding international breaks, Champions League nights and Manchester United’s continued progress in the Europa League last 16.

Last month, the FA announced the FA Cup replay between Arsenal v Hull will take place on Tuesday 8th March after 72 hours of debate and argument and the FA could be forced to seek UEFA’s agreement again.

Much could depend what happens with Manchester United in the Europa League against Liverpool on Thursday evening with West Ham confirming

“We cannot confirm the replay date until Man Utd’s Future future is settled v Liverpool this coming Thursday”

Here’s our ‘schedule’ currently:
