We are hearing reports – backed by the X1 named on some Twitter accounts – that the manager is set to make as many as eight changes for a game which many are seeing as the first of two which gives him a chance to remain in his job.
That may or may not be the case as there has been absolutely no official confirmation of such a position but it’s a given that a great deal will rest on tonight’s clash with Spurs and Saturday’s away trip to Selhurst Park.
We have been told that tonight’s team set to look like this:
(3-4-1-2) Adrian; Rice, Ogbonna, Kouyate; Byram, Noble Fernandes, Cresswell; Lanzini; Ayew, Carroll.
Realistically it looks – if correct – like a team put put in a bid to save what he sees as his first team for the Palace game.
