Jack Wilshere’s reported ambition for a move to the MLS or China would be a huge relief to the Hammers who have hopes of clearing two or three players out of the squad this winter to make room for new arrivals.

And were for former Arsenal midfielder to move on it would save the Hammers nearly £2 million off the wage bill.

Reports have circulated over the last few days – instigated by the allegedly well informed Athletic website that the midfielder is ready to move on if the opportunity were to present itself in in the east or west .

And that would see his £100k a week wages disappear off the wage bill and allow the club to lose at one place in the squad list.

They may even be able to look forward to a small transfer fee should there be any interest in either country during January or even the summer.

Another – as reported –  whom the club will entertain bids for are Carlos Sanchez and possibly even the Swiss striker Albien Ajeti who has failed to make any impact and was even substituted when playing for his national team last week.

The Hammers are keen to bring in player this window but are looking to sell one or two. However it’s difficult to see who else they could allow to leave at this stage.
