Hugh hands out his latest set of marks

Fabianski: Obviously interrupted but steadily coming back to his best not particularly helped of course by dodgy defence 6.5

Martin: Did a decent job at a very tough time 6.

Roberto

Randolph: Did absolutely nothing wrong and a lot right 7

Fredericks: Never better than average and never sure which Fredericks will turn up 4.5

Zaba: Admirable performer. Rarely let’s anyone down 6.5

Ngakia: Looked a prospect on his only appearance No rating

Diop: Poor season and needs to sharpen up in a big way for remainder of this campaign 4

Balbuena: From a decent first season to a totally inconsistent second – unimpressive in the main 4.5

Ogbonna: Best defender in the team and Hammer of an awful year runner 7.5

Cresswell: Has been returning to his best but more required 6

Masuaku:

Rice: Entirely overworked but always giving it his all and another Hammer of Year front runner 8

Noble: Separating his incredible enthusiasm from performance level is always tough 6.5

Sanchez

Anderson: Began to pull some strings behind Haller before getting injured – could make a big difference to end of season 6.5

Lanzini: Bitterly disappointing 2

Snodgrass: Five goals, fine set pieces and huge energy. We’d be a lot worse off without him 7.5

Fornals: Was growing into it before Moyes’ arrival who appears not to trust him – shame 6.5

Wilshere

Soucek: Loved his first appearance and really could become the main man if he continues in that vein No rating

Antonio: Been superb when available and you wonder where we might be had he been all season 9

Yarmolenko: Disappointing and one paced before getting injured again 3

Haller:  Gone right off the boil but a better player when Antonio’s around 4
