So maybe it did as bit for confidence but beyond that there was little to get overly enthusiastic about beyond Benny’s great goal.

Oggy looked more like his old self

A win is a win and it certainly made a change after  the miseries of recent weeks but the lack of cohesion and creativity against a much weakened Bees side was as alarming as it gets, notably in the first half.

The opposition made seven changes and the Hammers – playing a reasonably strong team – simply couldn’t make any inroads at all during a first half which in entertainment terms would probably have drawn a  maximum of one.

It really was that bad and at times resembled schoolboy football with the body language of many giving the impression there was little interest in this particular FA Cup game.

Gonzo has given his ratings of course and it would be hard to disagree with those for Soucek and Antonio on whom Moyes has made it clear he is relying for goals.

The were both very poor although for me it was nice to see Oggy looking more like the player he was before injury.

Ok we are into the fourth round and hope ,will always spring eternal as a result but we will need top be an awful lot better against  Wolves and Everton.

Sorry, not impressed.
