Report: Fonseca meets Sullivan

|

West Ham are today reported as having interviewed Paulo Fonseca as a future West Ham boss.

He is the first of the candidates  to be seen according to a tweet from the Daily Mail’s head of Sport Lee Clayton

The former Portuguese defender who played as a central defender is the current manager of Ukrainian club FC Shaktar Donetsk.

In his tweet Clayton declares: “Breaking: West Ham interviewed Paulo Fonseca for manager’s job this afternoon.”                               Paulo Fonseca

The 45 year old Fonseca is the first of the candidates through the door of Sullivan mansions and is set to be followed by Unai Emery and possibly Marco Silva. Some reports claim that David Moyes has already been told he is unlikely to be offered the job.

There is no confirmation of that at this stage although the Scot may be offered the opportunity of stating his case at a board meeting being planned for next week.

Fonseca is no mug when it comes to management.
Could do very well if he is given the right support. Impressive results with Shaktar Donetsk!!
I’ve heard that Everton are also interested in luring him to Merseyside.
