Bilic contract talks left on the shelf

bilic-gloomExclusive

Talks over any new deal for Slaven Bilic are set to be shelved until the end of the season.

David Sullivan indicated before the season started he was likely to leave talks until January or the end of the present campaign.

He said: “I will give Slaven a new deal in January. “I just want to see that he is not a one-season wonder. I am sure he is not but we’ll talk next January. or at the end of next season.”

Bilic has regularly made it clear he is happy to hold on before negotiating but that he would like to have something in place by the turn of the year.

However, despite picking up seven points from the last three games such has been the level of performance that nobody is ready to sit down and talk turkey.

The display against Hull today had important people shaking their heads in despair as the Hammers looked like a pub team at times.

And ClaretandHugh was told tonight that any new contract talks would now need to wait until the end of the season when hopefully the team is playing the type of football it produced last term.

Tension remains at a high level inside the club as the team produces levels of performance which are simply unacceptable.

  1. You’re not kidding. How we managed to win today genuinely defies belief. It’s like 3 Christmases and birthdays rolled into one. Talk of winning ugly! An overwhelming sense of relief in the end is all one can say. Cheers.

  2. And so they should be. Spindoc is right about winning ugly. The cub need a right back as soon as possible and leave the manager’s position until end of season.

  3. Been away all week loaned my ST to a mate who is one of the 50,000 can’t say I’m sorry i missed these two piles of pooh. Mate was so hacked off after the Burnley game he didn’t even bother going today. Apathy rules I want to see some big changes before Palace come to the OS in January.

  4. What is with DS- one minute he is backing the manager- next after 7 points in 3 games we get this. DS and his team delivered a load of dross over the summer but as usual talked a good game and delivered nothing. Pathetic

  5. So you are saying the manager had no responsibility for any signings or any say in it pablo?
