Hammers to play close to Zurich

Claret and Hugh understand that West Ham’s friendly with FC Winterthur will be played at the Stadion Schützenwiese in Winterthur close to Zurich in Northern Switzerland.

The stadium first opened in 1900 and now has a capacity of 8,550 with 1,100 covered seats, 800 uncovered seats and 6,650 standing places. The venue is 100Km or around one and a half hour drive from the Hammers training summer camp in Bad Ragaz.

The Hammers stay in Switzerland between 2 and 13 July.  The match against FC Winterthur will be played on Sunday 8th July at 3 pm.
