West Ham home kit launched

West Ham’s home kit for 2017/2018 has been officially launched by the club. The shirt was previously leaked in Thailand and went viral on the Internet.

Supporters who pre-order have been offered  a 10% discount off all 2017/18 home shirts plus free UK mainland standard delivery to selected UK postcodes.

The claret and blue kit takes inspiration from the famous strip worn by Billy Bonds and Trevor Brooking in the 1976 European Cup Winners’ Cup final, with both West Ham legends featuring in the video campaign for the new kit.

“Everyone knows that West Ham United is claret and blue, it’s who we are. This season’s kit is a really nice take on that theme and I think the Claret and Blue Army will really like it,” said Club captain Mark Noble to WHUFC.com.

“It’s the material that is the most important for us players and when we tried it on at the photoshoot the boys were all really impressed with how it felt, and we are really looking forward to playing in it next season.”

The shirt fronts and collar feature the popular chevron design worn by the Hammers for the first time in their memorable meeting with Anderlecht and throughout the late 1970s. The chevrons also take inspiration from West Ham’s famous crossed Hammers, as well as our London Stadium home, where the iconic floodlights, giant cantilever roof and supporting infrastructure also feature the same triangular shape.

The Hammers’ new Home kit is available to pre-order now online from the Official West Ham Store or in person at the Club’s London Stadium, Lakeside Thurrock and Liberty Romford stores.

The shirt is priced at £55 for Adult sizes and £45 for Junior sizes, with all fans receiving a 10% discount and free delivery on all Home shirt purchases.  With a discount at £49.50 for adults, it is cheaper than the offers seen by Sports Direct in recent weeks.

  1. Are you sure thats like they wore in the 1976 cup-winners final?
I was there that day and I dont remember their kit looking anything like that. It had horizontal stripes on it.

  2. I wonder if next year we will have the admiral kit make a comeback, apart from the adidas kits that was my favourite home and away, this one is ok will wait to see it up close before making a decision on it.

  3. Well the positive is we’ve seen the China Doll wearing the shirt for a change 😀 No doubt he picked up a groin niggle after striding over the light cable on the way out and will return in October 😂😂

  4. I like it,it looks proper smart. Not a winner for the beer belly & man boobs owners though,it looks a tight fit design 😁

  5. Worst kit in a long time. Sorry.

    • I’ve seen a lot worse. At least it hasn’t got collars. Collars is completely dud.
Like I said it is similar to 1981, and that was my all-time favorite.

  6. Has grown on me since the ‘leak’ last week. Looks more like the 2000 kit though with the claret & blue sleeves.

  7. Slaughtered over the price for the last few days, so have responded well with 10% off to make them competitive and not a single word said about it. Seems a large section sit behind their keyboards waiting to pounce on the slightest hint of a ricket. But when things go better they go shtum. Criticise when deserved by all means but also give credit when appropriate.

    • But they only use sites to moan Mooro. Its who they are.I guess it stops their missus getting it in the ear all day though 😂

    • being shamed into changing is no reason to be congratulated.

      • Crikey Nigel dont you ever get bored of wanting to be mr.grumpnuts of west ham lol
Its like your one purpose in life is to rubbish everything you can.I know west ham is a massive part of your life but you take it to extremes.I hope the current owners leave the club to you in their wills cunning fox and then we can all be rest assured everything will be perfecf for ever more.Never any mistakes made ever again.
I mean with you in charge ticket prices will be ten quid across the board.Kits will be fifteen quid for the full set.Life will be a bed of roses lol

  8. I think it looks sexy but my old tummy wont fit in it i know that.I would look like a pregnant plum lol

  9. It isn’t West Ham but all clubs that charge that much for a top. If they charged £35/40 prob would sell twice as many & still make a tidy sum.

  10. Anyone who don’t like the new kit, and thinks it’s the worst yet look at this link for a lot worse LOL:

  11. Yes we have has some real poop Sleeps.Unfortunately my least favourite was the one i think no32 likesThe admiral rodeo shirts.I apologize no32 my friend lol

    • No worries Stan 🙂 it was my favourite because it was the first one my parents bought me, but I still like those chevrons, apparently this one is supposed to be a nod back to that according to the official website but it is a bit of a stretch.

  12. As long as it has no fancy **** on it, cant say it would bother me,
Claret shirt, blue sleeves job done.
problem is with them changing every year they do lose their meaning, we know next year it will change and so on.
The problem is with football as a whole, but while the shirts are bought, nothing will change.

    • Very much agree with you on this nigel. It is a cross the board problem effecting all fans and it wont change because fans will continue to buy the merchandise. All clubs know that for every one fan who refuses to buy hundreds more will buy.I would say though it isnt just football tops as any brand top sport or fashion is extremely overpriced once a brand label goes on them.

  13. Arsenal launched theirs..replica home shirt £55 or authentic home shirt £100….

  14. Hmmmm nasty, apart from our beloved colours I don’t like any if thy design. I mean Christ, someone’s been paid a lot of money to come up with that! Seriously, how hard can it be :/

    • So lets get this right then because its not YOUR cup of tea it means the designers have done a bad job.
I have heard it all now lmao

  15. I really do like this kit.I prefer the away black with blue stripes but this is pretty damn good as well.

  16. Don’t really feel much about this kit either way.
Don’t love it, but don’t hate it either.
I won’t be buying one so don’t really give a monkey’s how much it costs/SuGo make out of it.
