Bookmakers are making West Ham the odds-on 10/11 favourite to be the bottom of the Premier League on Christmas Day.

The term the Curse of Christmas refers to a trend where the team at the bottom of thePremier League table on Christmas day has been relegated at the end of the season. West Brom remain the only team to be bottom of the Premier League both on Christmas day and on the last day and still survive relegation.
West Ham faces top of the league unbeaten Manchester City this afternoon followed by Chelsea and Arsenal at home. They then face Stoke away before playing Newcastle the day before Christmas Eve.
Bottom Swansea just one point behind the Hammers face West Brom, Man City, Everton and Palace.
Palace faces Bournemouth, Watford, Leicester and Swansea.
Probably we will be bottom but this season I don’t think it will be as much of a curse as a previous seasons, most results of other teams at present are going our way and it is hard to see that changing, West Brom have a horrendous December / January run also and if any team at the bottom gets two wins suddenly things look a lot rosier.
At least we’d be consistent ; we were bottom on the opening day .
