With several players earmarked for sale this summer, West Ham have been quick to stress that there is no financial requirement to sell, as per Daniel Kretinsky’s opening statement upon assuming control of the boardroom.
That would seem to have been backed up by actions as the board played hardball over Mateus Fernandes’ transfer to Spurs, bringing £85 million into the coffers.
Early signs are that the Summerville sale will bring another £40 million – not exactly a bumper payday but the board have clearly turned down earlier low ball efforts by AC Roma route to a deal which looks close.
Wan Bissaka’s £25 million price looks too hot to handle for buyers right now
However the £25 m asking price which the club set for Aaron Wan Bissaka appears to be one step too far, and has caused an interested suitor to walk away: That’s the claim from goodisonnews.com who suggest:

After considering the price quoted too high for the Hammers’ 28 year old right back: David Moyes’ side are now reported as looking at alternatives in the market place. The Hammers’ defender cost £15 million two years ago when Tim Steidten brought him into West Ham’s squad so he’s on the books at about £9 million now.
And it isn’t just within the Premeir League: According to the dailymail.com the same Wan Bissaka price issue remains with another suitor:

Whether the Hammers will have to soften their stance this summer to dispose of players like Wan Bissaka and Todibo remains to be seen: Whilst the aggressive pricing plays well it won’t help Nuno bring in fresh recruits for the Championship campaign.
