Felipe Anderson may not have made a £40m impact on the Hammers and Premier League yet but he’s getting a big vote of confidence from one of BBC’s best pundits.
Jermaine Jenas has been concentrating his thoughts on the Hammers just recently and on the night he drew an admission from The Ginger Pele that Mark Noble may be on thin ice under Manuel Pellegrini he had good news for lack lustre Anderson.
He said they are talented individuals, but it is easy to question whether they will be able to deliver the goods and not be consumed by the crowd.
He said on BBC 5 Live: “I think it’s that courage [what Arnautovic displayed last season when struggling] that is needed when wearing that shirt.”
“You can be as good as you want but that crowd can consume you I think and I think you have to be really brave and stand up it.
“So it’s just whether they have those players, who have that ability to do that as they’re talented and Anderson looks like a right player from what I’ve seen.”
