Come on Lucas rub it in on Guardiola

The ideal situation for me tomorrow would be for Lucas Paqueta to score the goal which beats Man City.

It’s perfectly understandable that the visitors wanted to sign him but from what I have seen so far £80 million was to cheap by about £20 million.

For is Declan was worth £100 million, game changer Paqueta has to be worth much the same and he is fully capable of doing that against any team as he showed in the Conference with a sublime ball to Jarrod for the winner.

He is genuinely world class and performing against City is well within his capabilities – why would Guardiola be in for him otherwise? He knows he is good enough to produce top displays against the best.

Pep is currently the best judge of players around and I have no doubt he has spent plenty of time since returning from his back surgery this week working out how to deal with the Brazilian.

The problem he faces is that there is no way of stopping the fella when he is truly on his game and I hope that’s tomorrow when I would love to see him rub it in on the City boss and his squad with a great performance and the winner for us,
