However, ExWHUemployee has now confirmed what Claret and Hugh revealed a couple of night ago, that there was never a contract on the table in front of the manager.
Instead, there had been agreement – prior to the run of poor results – that things were looking ok and that was the optimistic hope.
Now,. however, the manager will need to wait until the end of the season for an answer to the question everybody is asking.
One source said however prior to the Brentford victory: “Things need to pick up quickly and we have to start winning otherwise anything could happen.”
Meanwhile Ex said: “There have been provisional talks over a new deal for David Moyes. However, I’ve been advised that at no point it’s been put forward for signing.
“The manager possibly was referring to an agreement but that’s provisional, but not in front of him to sign.
“It’s understood that any decision by the board as to whether to offer him an extension will be made at the end of the season, following a review on how the season pans out.”
