Half Time: West Ham 1 Burnley 1
The Irons were entirely dominant and playing some really good stuff and should have gone in on the break well clear.
Instead Arnie’s opener from a weakly hit back pass was equalised in the first minute of first half injury time when Gundmundsson stole between to defenders and slid home an equaliser theycertainly didn’t deserve.
But this game is not about what you deserve. It’s about taking your chances and the Irons, having created much, failed when it mattered.
Our goal gave Arnie his fifth of the season and we were deprived of a second from a revitalised Anderson when a beautifully delicate chip was headed away from under the bar.
Grady Diangana was a constant menace and should have had a penalty when he was brought down by Defour – clearly seen on the stadium screen – but play was blithely waved on.
Time and again the Hammers poured forward to the Burnley box and Obiang saw several shot from distance fly wide before Gundmundsson gave the visitors a goal which sent them in on the break the happiest of the two team.
