Hammers eye Porto striker

|

FC Porto’s Moussa Marega could become a €25 million addition to the Hammers squad this summer along with No 1 target Maxi Gomez.

A summer deal for Gomez could be on but but ClaretandHugh understands that 28 year old Marega has also been scouted by the club as we look to reshape our strike force.

With two years left on his deal,  the player is on a tally of 15 goals for the season, nine coming in the league and six in the Champions League. He also has seven assists to his name and can play either though the middle or down the right side.

That’s a top record and with the Hammers enjoying good contacts in Portugal a move for the player certainly can’t be ruled out.

With the Irons looking at players who can boast a decent fitness track record Marega again fits the bill having only been in the treatment room for 84 days of his seven year long career.

And these have all been relatively minor  including thigh muscle strain,  a hamstring injury and another thight strain this year and they have seen him miss just 13 games in total.
