|

Sean hands out the marks on last night’s performance from the Irons

Adrian: Had nothing to do after an early flurry of Macclesfield activity 7

Fredericks: Like the rest of defence it was all about getting forward – fantastic goal. Impressive 8

Ogbonna: Good goal confident performance  7

Cresswell: Good display down the left – did himself no harm at all 7

Diop: Grows with every game – commanding figure at the back 8

Sanchez: Off injured early No rating

Rice: Bossed midfield – another top display 8.5

Antonio: This will have done his fitness and confidence the world of good with a goal thrown in for good measure 8

Diangana: What a stunning start from a brilliant young prospect – two goals and looked totally at home 9.5

Snodgrass: He was absolutely everywhere, scored two goals, was winding the crowd up – very near man of match 9

Perez: Grabbed his goal but really expect more from such an experienced pro – could and probably should have had two more 7

Special mention for Joe Powell and Conor Coventry: Both academy products appeared as subs and were never out of place, giving their all on an epic night 7
