Injured Hammers on loan defender Sam Byram could return to action for Nottingham Forest early in the new year according to his City Ground boss Aitor Karanka.
Following the arrival of Ryan Fredericks it became clear that Byram was not going to get many minuted and was allowed to join Forest for the season.
However, just as it looked as though the 25 year old was set to get things back on tractJust when it looked like the 25-year-old was getting his career back on track he was hit by another injury when struck down by a knee problem against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup.
Now, however, his Spanish boss, claims he’s doing well and said: “Sam is recovering well but is still two or three months away. I hope that he will come back – and I am not a doctor – in January or February.
“It would be good if that happens. I hope he still has a part to play for us this season. You never know with this kind of injury, but he is doing well and feeling confident.
