Michy Batshuai is very much back on the Hammers radar.

We reported last night that the Belgian striker is unhappy about the planned loan switch to Swansea and the Hammers have immediately been in touch with Chelsea.

The player is keen on a move to the London Stadium and The Mirror’s Darren Lewis – with top links to the Hammers – has confirmed the story this morning adding that other clubs are interested.

He  writes, however, that we are leading the chase saying: “The Irons have again registered their interest in the 23-year-old marksman after having an initial bid rejected last month. Batshuayi is understood to favour the Hammers.”

Jack Sullivan sent Batshuayi hopes soaring in the summer

The former Marseille frontman scored in the FA Cup victory over Peterborough – but has not started a Premier League game this season.

Batshuayi was the club’s No 1 pick in the summer window but after bidding £31 million the striker opted for a move to Stamford Bridge.

Now, with his affections being transferred to east London, Hammers negotiators will settle don to a fierce battle for his loan signature.

Such was our interest in the summer that at one stage the co-chairman’s son Jack Sullivan was pictured wearing a Batshuayi top!
