Gold and Sullivan received welcome Moyes news

Joint-Chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold have welcomed that David Moyes has signed a new three-year contract on Saturday.

Speaking to the official website, the joint West Ham owners said  “This is fantastic news and we are delighted that David has committed his long-term future to the Club, ensuring great stability going forward. His strong work ethic and determination to build success in the right way have proved a perfect fit for West Ham United, and we are all aligned with what needs to be done to keep progressing and improving. The experience of the past 12 months has created a fantastic unity throughout the Club and we are very excited about what the future holds for our supporters.”

As Claret and Hugh revealed over a week ago, David Sullivan personally led the negotiations with David Moyes agent and brother Kenny with lawyers putting the final touches to the three-year deal over the past week.

Moyes will now concentrate on his technical observer role for UEFA during the European Championships based out of Wembley, he will combine his observer role with some scouting and transfer work with Jesse Lingard now one of his main targets.

Coaches Paul Nevin, Stuart Pearce and Kevin Nolan, as well as goalkeeping coach Xavi Valero have renewed their contracts to stay with David Moyes’s backroom team with Alan Irvine taking a new technical advisor role.
