Moyes can’t be allowed to squander more window money

Rumours continue to circulate that David Moyes will remain in charge of West Ham should we go down.

I’m inclined not to believe that but should it be true the huge worry is how he will handle another transfer window should plenty of funds be available.

And the biggest concern of all is whom he will being in to replace Declan Rice – a scenario which frankly scares me to death.

Last summer he spent nearly £200 million and beyond Aguerd – who has also had problems at times – it’s hard to be over impressed with any of them.

Sure he has had his injuries but Scamacca was disappointing in between times and Cornet has been given next to no chance since recovering fitness.

So quite simply what we have seen is a manager unable to rotate his squad because he doesn’t have sufficient faith in those he has bought.

If we can see it the board can surely see it and the time may be approaching when they introduce another system other than Moyes and Newman looking after things.

I hope so because the idea of those two continuing to squander money on average players who can’t get into the team is scary and any idea that they should be responsible for replacing Rice must be a non starter.
