No manager can survive six straight defeats in a row

There is an unwritten rule in the Premier League that no manager can suffer six straight defeats in a row and survive. With four straight defeats in the Premier League against Liverpool, Bournemouth, Arsenal and Wolves Pellegrini now faces Everton and Chelsea as he attempts to get a single point on the table. The club record of losing the opening four Premier League games of the season has only been equalled by Avram Grant.

The Hammers remain the only club yet to score a point and remain firmly at the bottom on the Premier League table with an abysmal goal difference of minus eight. Only Huddersfield have such a worst goal difference but they have managed to earn two points in their opening four games.

The problem with the Premier League is it doesn’t give you time but its time that Pellegrini desperately needs to change the Hammers style and get them playing as a team.

I hope fans and the board will continue to support Pellegrini even if he loses the next two tough games, Chelsea is unbeaten winning all four-games on 12 points while Everton is also unbeaten with one win and three draws on six points.

In Pellegrini I still trust.
