Noble wants more of that Brazilian flair

|
Mark Noble wants more of the same from Felipe Anderson following the Burnley clash but believes he saw part of the answer to the Brazilian’s problems from earlier games.
Commenting in his London Evening Standard column he said: “He had a lot of the ball, Burnley didn’t press as hard as other teams and that seemed to suit him. I was really pleased he did so well and sent him a text after to say how I happy was for him.

Players are not always going to come here and hit the ground running, as Dimitri Payet did. But that is what some people expect when they see a big fee paid for someone.

I hope that match will spur Felipe on. He will have games when he’s not that good, because he’s a flair player. It’s important our crowd stick by him then, because they’ve seen how special he can be.”

Nobes has been unable to have an in depth conversation with the 35 million euros signing saying: “He doesn’t speak very good English yet, so it has not been easy to have an in-depth conversation with him, but he’s a great, kind lad who wants to do well. I’m sure he’ll be a great player for us, but he might need a bit of time.”

Noble will again be unable to play a part in the game against Huddersfield tomorrow saying: “We need to win that to give us some consistency. Then comes the international break, followed by a home game against the champions, Manchester City.

If we can beat Huddersfield it will give us massive confidence to come back home and play the best team in the land.

That would give us seven points from the last three games — a big improvement in the way we’re playing.”
