Quina loan deal blocked at last moment
The Portugal Under-21 looked set for a switch to to the promotion chasing League One outfit but his hopes were dashed by then head of recruitment Tony Henry.
The ‘paper claims the deal collapsed because the Irons required a loan fee for an 18-year-old who is yet to make an appearance for the first-team in the Premier League this season but has featured for the Hammers in the Carabao Cup.
Henry’s future at the club has since been cast in controversy after he was suspended following the eruption of the Africagate e mail affair.
