No definite Moyes decision yet By Simon Leyland

Somewhat unsettling news from  the football journalist Matt Law at the Daily Telegraph

Despite his position coming under threat seemingly after every other match this season, West Ham United are open to David Moyes continuing as the club’s manager.

No definite Moyes decision will be made by West Ham until the end of the season.

That’s according to a recent report from the Telegraph which who claims the Hammers have not yet decided to part ways with the Scotsman, despite the side enduring a tough domestic campaign.

Although a one-nil win against Manchester United on Sunday evening more or less sealed our Premier League survival, there is no denying that the we have had a  massively disappointing season

Sitting at the moment in a poor 15th place in the table, West Ham are set to finish many places below their seventh-place finish last season.

And it was that seventh-place finish that saw the Irons qualify for the Europa Conference League  as they prepare to take on Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in the semi-finals at the London stadium on Thursday.

Should the Hammers go on to lift the European trophy, it will not only be the first cup we have won in 43 years, and no, I do not count the Intertoto thingy-me-bob. But it will no doubt increase the chances of the ashen faced one remaining in charge next season.

My own view is that winning the trophy would at least allow him a dignified send off as we then start finalising a suitable replacement.
