The Sun newspaper today claims that Manchester United have contacted West Ham about a possible deal for Declan Rice.

The red top tabloid claim Man United have returned to ask about his availability as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ramps up his rebuilding plans ahead of the start of pre-season training.

The report says West Ham told United that Rice was not for sale, although it is thought that should an offer of around £80million come in then they may decide to do business.

Here we go again with the so obvious Declan Rice speculation, the club has made it clear their star player is not for sale at any price yet reports continue to link them to a move to a top-six club this summer.  The report comes less than 24 hours after another report claiming that Issa Diop is also wanted by Manchester United who were prepared to pay £45m plus a player to do a deal for the French man.

That story was denied by club sources who said Diop is not for sale and there was no interest in Anthony Martial, like Diop Claret and Hugh have been told by its most senior club source consistently that Declan Rice is also not for sale at any price and they have no intention of cashing in this summer.

We all know that everyone has a price but with Diop age twenty-two and Rice just twenty their value will only increase and both have the potential to be £100m players.

If Manchester United want to pay £200m for the pair maybe Pellegrini and the board might change their mind, until then everyone can jog on.
