West Ham season ticket holders received Emails this morning telling them how to claim a cash refund if they so wished.
All refunds are based 5/19th of the original purchase price of the season ticket not including the two-pound booking fee were credited to supporters’ club cash accounts yesterday.
While the club would prefer supporters to leave the refund credit in their club cash accounts to be used against next season’s ticket it has offered the cash refund option to all in the hope many will not usw it and decide to support the club financially in these difficult times.
The Email tells season ticket holders ‘If you would prefer your credit as a refund then please call the Ticket Office on 0333 030 1966. Phone lines will be open from 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.’
Predictably there have been reports of long waits on hold to the ticket office hotline on the first day.
Those who have got through have been promised a claim form by email which they will need to complete to receive their cash refund within the next 30 days.
Away ticket holders have been refunded their £30 tickets to club cash also.
